Painted lofts are a rumor until the green agrees
A 5-iron and a 6-iron that carry eight yards apart can still arrive within a degree of each other after a long hang. Both hop. That is not gapping. That is two cousins wearing different numbers.
April caliche versus rye
The same 8-iron that holds on overseeded rye in December will skip on baked caliche in April. We note the month you actually play. A winter sheet is not an April sheet.
One lever
Loft, length, or shaft mass. Not a new set because the old one is last year’s color. Most Albuquerque iron problems are two degrees of loft distributed badly, not a moral failure of the bag.
What we will not do
We will not “strong-loft” a set so the 7 looks like a 6 on social media. Strong lofts in this air make land angles even shallower. The green does not follow your account.
Bring the whole iron family, even the 4 you never hit. Ghosts in the bag still take a slot. Marisol would rather see the ghost than hear about it later.
